Things have slowed down quite a bit but we still have tomatoes and winter squashes, acorn, butternut, spaghetti and pumpkins are still available. We are looking at closing part of the week since the business is off. Amy is making entrees today, Monday 10th. We will update on the entrees available. Call ahead for you pies or for apple dumplings. We don't want to bake a big selection of pies and then have them to go to waste. David has greens growing in the greenhouse, call for availability.
Our Market CSA's were a big hit this year and we will offer them again next year.
Check out the CSA page for more details.
Linda's Mercantile is now in its sixth year. David & Linda Lay operate the farm and grow lots of fresh produce and fruits. Since this is a working farm, they limit their hours of operation in order to keep up with the prep work on the ground and the planting. The market has five greenhouses that they use to get a jump start on their tomatoes and they use them for growing greens. They also carry a small quantity of vegetable plants and herbs. For 2014, along with the vegetable plants they will offer a small quantity of flowers. For any they do not carry, they will direct you to the best place to get them.
The store is located just a short drive from the city limits of Winchester on Route 522 North.
